Responsibilities:
Answer inbound customer calls in a professional and customer-focused manner
Make outbound sales calls to assigned accounts to meet sales objectives
Develop and grow sales within an assigned territory in collaboration with team members
Identify upselling opportunities and provide value-added product solutions
Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues efficiently
Serve as a liaison between customers, sales channels, and internal departments
Enter customer orders accurately into internal order management systems
Maintain customer and decision-maker records in CRM systems
Submit territory activity reports as requested by management
Track and report competitive intelligence, market trends, and new product opportunities
Support development of marketing campaigns and customer outreach initiatives
Build and maintain strong professional relationships within the horticultural industry
Travel to customer sites as needed
Perform additional duties as assigned
Working hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
High school diploma or GED required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution preferred
Minimum 6 months of experience in business, sales (preferably phone-based), or customer service
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and general office software
Strong time management, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Basic math skills including percentages, discounts, and commissions
Ability to accurately measure using a standard ruler
Ability to compile data and support marketing campaigns via email
Basic understanding of design, composition, proofreading, and print processes
Ability to write clear, professional correspondence
Comfortable presenting information one-on-one or in small group settings
Ability to pass color vision and color hue testing
Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed
