Inside Sales Representative
Job Title: Inside Sales RepresentativeJob Description The Inside Sales Representative maintains and grows relationships with current and potential customers by managing the full sales support cycle, from quoting and pricing through order entry and follow-up. Working under general supervision, this role processes purchase orders, prepares and maintains quotes, provides product information and media, and coordinates customer requirements with cross-functional departments. The position offers opportunities for professional development, long-term stability, and financial growth, including eligibility for monthly bonuses upon conversion to full-time employment. Responsibilities + Present and sell company products to current and potential customers through inbound and outbound communication. + Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers while developing new customer accounts. + Establish new customer accounts and create detailed customer profiles in the system. + Prepare accurate quotes, send them to customers in a timely manner, and maintain organized quote files. + Process customer purchase orders with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. + Review purchase orders to ensure completeness, correctness, and alignment with quoted terms and pricing. + Perform order entry, including entering product part numbers, pricing, and delivery details into the system. + Generate new prices using established pricing methods and tools. + Provide drawings and other product media to assist customers in understanding product features and specifications. + Develop and maintain strong product knowledge to effectively support customer needs and inquiries. + Follow up on quotes, orders, and customer requests to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction. + Resolve customer complaints and concerns by investigating issues and coordinating solutions with relevant departments. + Coordinate customer requirements with other cross-functional departments as needed to fulfill orders and meet expectations. + Handle inbound calls and respond to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, and order status. + Perform data entry related to orders, quotes, customer profiles, and pricing updates. + Customarily and regularly exercise independent discretion and judgment on matters of significance related to sales support, pricing, and customer service. + Manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines and service level expectations. + Maintain a professional demeanor and positive company image in all customer interactions. + Perform other related duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Purchase order processing experience. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including strong working knowledge of Word and Excel. + Experience with inbound calls, order entry, and data entry. + Experience in sales and order processing environments. + Knowledge of customer service processes and operational methods. + Strong oral and written communication skills. + Ability to handle multiple job functions simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and quality. + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively establish priorities. + Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. + Ability to maintain a professional appearance and a positive company image. + Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships. + Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and expand knowledge. + Approximately 2–3 years of experience in a similar inside sales, order processing, or customer service role. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience generating prices using pricing tools or methods. + Experience entering and maintaining product part numbers, pricing, and delivery details in an ERP or order management system. + Experience providing technical or product-related media such as drawings or specifications to customers. + Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in customer and order-related decisions. + Experience coordinating with cross-functional departments such as operations, logistics, or engineering. + Proven ability to manage follow-up activities for quotes, orders, and customer issues through completion. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glendale, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
