System One is working with a local company searching for an Inside Sales Engineer Location: Tulsa, OK This is a direct-hire, full-time opportunity. We are seeking a candidate with strong job stability and a technical background, ideally with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Summary The Inside Sales Engineer (ISE) works closely with internal teams and external customers to support the sales process by understanding application requirements, recommending technical solutions, preparing quotations, delivering product demonstrations, and addressing technical inquiries. This role requires strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with product, engineering, support, and sales teams. Essential Functions + Assist in selecting appropriate technical solutions for customer applications. + Manage inquiries from representatives, distributors, and customers within the United States. + Generate quotations using established price lists within customer-specified timeframes, including obtaining required discount authorizations for new and repeat orders. + Collaborate with engineering to develop special pricing when required. + Maintain accurate records of daily activities using internal databases, including customer information and competitor activity related to distribution channels, pricing, and market trends. + Provide regular reports on inside sales activities to assigned territory or product managers. + Deliver a high level of customer service and support to assigned representative and distributor territories. + Provide material and technical support across all aspects of assigned territories. + Adhere to ISO 9001 procedures and support quality audit requirements. + Support the order processing team as needed. Job Requirements Education: + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical) or another technical discipline. Experience: + Two (2+) years of experience in sales support or a comparable combination of education and experience. + Industry experience in pressure relief devices or related manufacturing environments is preferred. Knowledge and Skills: + Experience administering sales support programs and related management systems. + Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications, including Excel, with strong database management and record-keeping skills. + Excellent oral and written communication skills. + Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. + Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively. + Strong sense of accountability and commitment to delivering superior customer service. Mental, Physical, and Visual Demands + Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. + Ability to respond professionally to sensitive inquiries or complaints. + Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. + Frequent verbal communication and hearing required. + Occasional standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands and arms for reaching or handling materials. Working Conditions + General office environment with moderate noise levels (e.g., computers, printers, light traffic). Equipment and Tools + Ability to learn and use company enterprise software systems. + Regular use of standard office equipment including telephone, copier, projector, and related tools.
