Job Description

Job Description:
We are seeking an Inside Sales Consultant to join the Client Relationship Management with
Brookfield Oaktree Wealth Solutions. The role is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and would be
supporting a Vice President, Client Relationship Management (Wholesaler) and servicing Western
Canada.


As a key member of the Internal Sales Desk, the Inside Sales Consultant will partner with the Vice
President, Client Relationship Management (external sales) to build new relationship, as well as
enhance existing partnerships, with financial advisors across key markets in Western Canada. The
objective will be to increase market share and brand awareness of Brookfield and Oaktree products
offered in Canada; an integral part of furthering the client journey and attaining both revenue and
profitability goals.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Vice President, Client Relationship Management to develop and implement a territory sales planConduct consultative, relationship-building sales calls with financial advisors and other licensed professionalsAdvance the sales process by coordinating meetings and presentations (examples of meetings include face-to-face meetings, conference calls, and client seminars, etc.). Respond to ad-hoc requests for information and conduct investment analysis as needed.Convey technical knowledge of the firms’ investment strategies and maintain a comprehensive understanding of market trendsUpdate daily call activities and maintain accurate advisor records within Salesforce on a 
timely basis.

Qualifications & Requirements

​ Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the financial services industry.College degree or equivalent experience required (MBA, CFA, CFP, & CIM)In depth knowledge of the Canadian Wealth Management and Asset Management landscapeOutstanding presentation and communication skillsStrong work ethic, high integrity and strong valuesMotivated to achieve success and grow with the firmConsultative, client first approach, delivering solutions, not products, to meet needs and get resultsExcellent listening skills with a natural inclination to focus on client needs coupled with strong presentation and interpersonal skillsA growth mindset with a business-owner mentality, which is naturally drawn to opportunities, innovation, new value creation, and looks to continuously improve own capabilitiesAdvanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of Salesforce CRM, Seismic, eVestment and Morningstar Direct a plus

Additional Requirements

Ability to travel within Canada and to the U.S

Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.
