Inside Sales
We are looking for a flexible, proactive and keen to learn inside sales representative who has a passion for education. You will be part of the European Sales Team focused on supporting the sales of teaching and learning resources and qualifications to the European International & Bilingual Schools segment. You will be responsible for growing revenue with a set of accounts, working closely with the relevant regional sales manager, plus supporting the entire sales team with pan-European prospecting campaigns and activities. A day in the life of a Pearson Inside Sales Representative + Planning your hit list for targeting schools - working with data provided by the European sales team, to identify opportunities to support the retention and growth of accounts. + Supporting business development – supporting the sales team to identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities. Effective selling of products and services to primary and secondary schools in key European markets. + Key account management– support sales managers to manage specific customers within the territory to maximise sales and provide a positive customer experience. + Managing your time effectively to keep in close touch with customers; + Contacting key decision makers, discussing needs, proposing solutions and quotations maximising the customers’ use of our products so they renew each year, and increase spending with Pearson. + Proactively identifying opportunities to increase the impact of Pearson’s services, from a combination of outbound and inbound emails and calls; confidently using technology – to deliver remote meetings through desktop sharing. + Continually updating your knowledge of curriculum and our products and services to ensure you present the best proposition for the customer. + Supporting different international marketing/sales campaigns as well as with other projects in the team. Who are we looking for? Previous experience in the education sector is desirable, though not necessary. We do require you to have some experience of working successfully in a sales/target driven environment. You will also have excellent organisational skills and the ability to assimilate and deliver new information to a range of key decision makers. Excellent communication skills are a must as you will be speaking to people from across Europe. A flexible approach to work is also essential as you will be joining a small team with ever-changing priorities. Attention to detail, empathy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling large volume without sacrificing quality, are critical to be successful in this position. Last but not least, you need to have a positive and determined attitude to work. We provide comprehensive training, including shadowing experienced colleagues. Within 1 month you will complete all onboarding training and meet with stakeholders and understand your customers and markets. You will also learn best practices, processes and business tools that enable us to be successful. Within 3 months you will begin to work more independently, continue to build and expand relationships around the company and leverage data to prioritise your work. Within 6 months you will become a trusted Inside Sales Representative, offering guidance to your customers and providing feedback on ways to improve customer experience.
