Position TitleInpatient Operations Project ManagerWescoe PavilionPosition Summary / Career Interest:The Inpatient Operations Project Manager supports inpatient areas by managing transformation projects aimed at improving care delivery and the consumer experience across our enterprise. Works collaboratively with and leads multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient access and revenue cycle projects. Work may include developing and implementing front-end process standardization and training, identifying areas of opportunity and measuring, monitoring and improving performance.
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
Leads initiatives to support performance excellence initiatives, including but not limited to analyzing data for performance improvement and lean activities researching effective models for patient management and inpatient operations, designing programs to address patient and provider needs that increase quality of care ensuring appropriate use of healthcare resources.Provides process facilitation support as well as rigorous analytical support to inpatient areas. Provides active tracking tools and summaries for all projects and summarizes individual projects progress and risks to senior management.Provides support for multiple process improvement efforts, which are expected to dramatically improve performance. Works with data and analysis team to assure accurate data and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual volume trends and revenue cycle performance by specialty area and strategic initiatives. Identify trends or information that may require changes in financial, operational or strategic direction.Provides best practice examples from other healthcare organizations or industries.Works with data analysis team to assure accurate data and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual volume trends. revenue cycle, clinical and operational performance by specialty area and strategic initiatives. Ensures there is the infrastructure and resources required to perform effectively and efficiently.Monitors project timelines to ensure resources are available and applied appropriately to achieve desired performance goals in a timely manner.Keeps abreast of recent trends and developments in process innovation and project management in the healthcare field as well as in related industries.Participates in multi-disciplinary groups as part of planning effortsPerforms various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the positionAssists in developing standardized onboarding plans, competency pathways, training and development.Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.These statements are intended to describe the essential functions of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.
