Innovation Specialist – AI
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Evaluate Opportunities for AI and Low-Code Solutions (20%):• Explanation: Identify and assess opportunities for applying Azure OpenAI Services and Microsoft Power Platform to address business challenges.• So What: Ensures that Maximus leverages cutting-edge technologies to solve critical business problems, driving innovation and competitive advantage.2. Design and Develop AI-Powered Applications for Piloting (20%):- Explanation: Create and AI-driven applications and features using Azure AI Services, integrating them with other systems and data source which will then be scaled - So What: Enhances operational efficiency and user experiences by implementing advanced AI solutions, leading to improved business outcomes.3. Develop and Deploy Low-Code Applications for Piloting (20%):• Explanation: Design, develop, and deploy low-code applications and workflows using Microsoft Power Platform to automate processes. (Technology Team will manage these)• So What: Streamlines business processes, reduces manual effort, and increases productivity, contributing to overall organisational efficiency.4. Run Experiments and Take The Lead Proof-of-Concept Projects (15%):• Explanation: Working with Innovation Specialist Manage proof-of-concept projects and pilot programs for solutions built with Azure OpenAI and Power Platform, collaborating with stakeholders.• So What: Validates the feasibility and impact of innovative solutions, ensuring that successful projects are scaled and integrated into the business.5. Agile Collaboration with Operations End Users and Subject Matter Experts (10%):• Explanation: Work closely with operations business users and subject matter experts to understand their needs and translate them into AI and low-code solutions.• So What: Ensures that technology solutions are aligned with business requirements, leading to more effective and relevant innovations.6. Stay Updated with Technological Advancements (10%):• Explanation: Continuously monitor advancements in Azure OpenAI Services, Microsoft Power Platform, and the broader AI and low-code landscape.• So What: Keeps Maximus at the forefront of technological innovation, enabling the organization to quickly adopt and benefit from new technologies. 7. Document and Communicate Innovation Initiatives (5%):• Explanation: Document Pilots we wish to scale for technology team, communicate progress, outcomes, and business benefits of innovation initiatives to stakeholders.• So What: Ensures projects are documented for technology to scale also provides transparency and clarity on the impact of innovation efforts, ensuring stakeholder buy-in and support for future projects.


Qualifications & Experience
• Proven hands-on experience working with Low code - ideally Microsoft Power Platform, including building and deploying Low-Code applications using Power Apps and automating workflows with Power Automate. • Experience with Azure OpenAI Services or a strong understanding of its capabilities and potential applications. • A solid understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) especially LLM concepts and their practical implementation. • Experience in identifying and analysing business processes for potential improvement through AI and Low-Code solutions. • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications for both AI integrations and Power Platform applications. • Experience with data integration and connecting Power Platform applications to various data sources. • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Experience in documenting technical solutions and communicating them effectively. • Experience with running or being involved with iterating new technology solutions. • Microsoft Power Platform certifications (e.g., Power Platform Associate/Expert). 
Desirable • Experience with other Azure AI services (e.g., Azure Open AI, Azure Cognitive Services). • Familiarity with API integrations and connecting Power Platform to external systems. • Experience with Automation Anywhere • Experience working inside agile methodologies. • Experience in facilitating workshops and gathering requirements from stakeholders. • Azure certifications.

Travel Requirements - UK Travel required not expected to be more than once a week
