As a Consumer Insights leader, you will be tasked with the responsibility to translate this marketplace uncertainty into clear growth opportunities for our businesses. As part of the North America Insights & Intelligence team within PepsiCo, you must demonstrate the ability to become a trusted adviser and thought leader to the business. This exciting and strategic role will reward and develop the right candidate as the research lead and strategic partner for the Foods Innovation team. This role must sit at one of our main HQ locations (Plano, TX or Chicago, IL). Responsibilities This role spans the Foods portfolio and will help set strategic direction by unlocking data-driven, actionable insights & provide a holistic understanding of the business that impacts short- & long-term strategic decision-making. You must be collaborative and able to work cross-functionally to contribute to the development of innovation while also developing best practices to unlock efficiencies in the teams’ day-to-day decisions. Lead strategic thinking and innovation for the Future of Demand for Foods to help Frito Lay US win households and gain market share. Lead Insights capabilities to identify future trends through consumption panels to understand consumer behavior changes and inform innovation idea development/prioritization. Lead consumer learning plan on innovations including concept development, testing, and refinement for launch Lead development of future innovations, including foundational learnings, product insights, and brand building. Manage and drive utilization of internal tools and capabilities inclusive of demand spaces and consumer cohort understanding. Effectively manage key partners and key stakeholders at all stages of the innovation development cycle; drive outside-in thinking and intelligence-based decision-making; ensure insight-to-action is communicated, implemented. Manage key partners and stakeholders throughout the innovation cycle; promote intelligence-based decision-making and ensure implementation. Collaborate with Global and North America Innovation Insights to enhance innovation capabilities and integrate them into myInnovation. This person must effectively influence the Foods (PFUS) Innovation Marketing team and seek to drive more efficient and effective decision making through his/her/their team’s work and a genuine curiosity towards the business and full commercial system. Innovation platforms: Design and execute research plans against business objectives, timelines and budget for the different platform agendas, including packaging, claims and fast sprints. Partner in developing marketing strategies by providing guidance in identifying key business issues and opportunities related to the above. Provide thought leadership around how to evaluate packaging innovation, solidify its role in brand innovation plans and evolve testing approach. White Space Innovation for Existing Portfolio: Design and execute research plans against objectives, timelines and budget for development of new white space and new brands through launch. Partner with Global and Food & Beverage Innovation Insights team to represent Foods in enhancements of tools and capabilities. Guide Platforms/Partnership strategy, decision making, and test & learn evaluation. Provide thought leadership around how to evaluate white space innovation and evolve testing approach. Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $106,400 - $178,100. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process. Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually. Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: 5+ years in marketing, insights, consumer research, consulting preferred; Bachelor’s Degree Experience setting and leading cross-methodology insights agendas, well versed in research methodologies and possesses the ability to apply research to address business challenges.
