Job Description

ITW’s internship program provides hands-on experience and professional development opportunities in high-growth, dynamic industries. Interns are encouraged to think and act like entrepreneurs, gaining real-world experience while working alongside experienced professionals. The Innovation Engineer Intern should be creative, motivated and eager to learn. This intern will be able to experience a variety of functions within the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

Opportunity to learn and use design skillsAssist with 3D-modeling core products / assemblies in CADAssist with generating product renderings from CADAssist with part testing and creating test reportsGain trouble shooting and problem-solving techniquesLearn about ITW’s Customer Back Innovation process and help drive Innovation projects.Support the innovation team on daily tasks and projectsHelp research new and innovative tools to help the engineering teams operate at a high levelWork alongside Innovation and Project Engineers

Qualifications

Enrolled in a Bachelor program with a degree in engineering

Preferred:

Familiarity with the Automotive industryGeneral understanding of fastener assembly mechanicsMechanical Engineering StudyCAD experience (SolidWorks)
