Job Purpose and Impact

As a team member in Inland Shipping Chartering in Ghent, you will be responsible for the daily coordination of our transport assignments. To ensure smooth operations, you will work closely with all stakeholders. 

Key AccountabilitiesBooking and following up on inland waterway transportsPreparing and offering quotations in close collaboration with various European Supply Chain teamsDrafting cargo documentsMaintaining relationships with both internal and external suppliers and customersAs a natural negotiator with strong social skills, you will negotiate daily with various parties, ranging from small inland shipping entrepreneurs to shipping companies. Customer focus, analytical thinking, and teamwork are part of your soft skills.QualificationsYou have a master’s level of thinkingYou are eager to learn; relevant experience in the sector is not requiredYou have excellent language skills and are verbally strong in Dutch, French, and English. German is a plusYou are communicative, solution-oriented, have a hands-on mentality, and value customer focus highlyYou are ambitious and want to grow in your role
