Ink Technician
**Job Title:** Ink Technician – Temp-to-Hire **Pay:** $20–$23/hour **Location:** Milwaukee, WI **Schedule:** Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire **About the Role** We are seeking a detail-oriented **Ink Technician** to join a growing printing company in Milwaukee. The Ink Technician is responsible for **mixing, matching, and preparing inks** to support flexographic press production. This position requires a strong understanding of color theory, ink systems, and quality control. **Key Responsibilities** + Mix inks per color formulas to meet production requirements. + Forecast ink needs from press schedules and issue inks through the inventory system. + Perform **press-side color matching** and quality checks. + Operate and validate proofer/drawdown equipment and spectrophotometer. + Track and manage ink inventory using the **Novaflow system** . + Identify rework opportunities and create usable drums from existing stock. + Use the **Pantone Matching System (PMS)** for custom blends. + Stage and organize finished ink pails for press runs. + Support the Master Ink Technician and cross-train for advancement. + Maintain housekeeping and follow all safety, ISO, and food safety guidelines. **Qualifications** + Must pass a **color perception test** . + Prior experience as an Ink Technician or in flexographic printing preferred. + Advanced knowledge of the **Novaflow system** is a plus. + Understanding of **color metrics** (CMC, LAB, DE, CH) and toning principles. + Strong knowledge of color theory and solvent use. + Good math skills and attention to detail. + Strong communication and organizational abilities. + Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities. + Ability to work overtime as required. **What We Offer** + Competitive pay: **$20–$23/hour** + Temp-to-Hire opportunity with career advancement potential + Hands-on training in a supportive environment + Opportunities to grow into a **Master Ink Technician** role **Pay Details:** $20.00 to $23.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
