Job Description:

Responsible for the proper set up and operation of injection molding machines for the production of precision molded plastic parts. Monitors the molding process to ensure product quality. Executes daily production tasks and supervises work in accordance with production schedule. Creates set-up procedures and process optimization of new and existing plastic injection molds.

Responsibilities:

Mold processing and process troubleshooting of various types of injection molds and thermoplastic resins.Mold set-ups and tooling changeovers.Mold maintenance and minor tool repair.Oversee all aspects of the injection molding process, including the set-up, operation, maintenance, and repair of injection molding tools, equipment, and materials.Drive molding process improvements to include qualification, cycle time efficiency, and scrap reduction.Verify correct set-up of molds, materials, processes, and auxiliary equipment before machine start up.Work with all shifts to ensure smooth transitions and communications.

Education: High School

HS or GED

Experience: 60 months

Injection Molding Certification plus 5 years of progressive manufacturing experience.
