Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Ingeniero Senior EHS y ambiental. 

What you’ll do:

Job Summary
This position provides Environmental, Health, Safety and Security support to Eaton Electrical Sector Mexico (EES MX) commercial area that includes Distribution Center COYOL and MITIKAH Commercial Headquarters in Mexico City, and Guadalajara and Monterrey Commercial offices. This position is accountable for supporting EHS activities at sites including monitoring EHS objectives and targets, internal reporting of EHS performance, ensures businesses/sites level EHS programs, policies, procedures and systems are developed, implemented and sustained to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulatory requirements and conformance with Eaton Corporation mandates.  This position is also responsible for maintaining site ISO 14001/NOM/STPS certification along with supporting the creation of strong EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site.    
    
Job Responsibilities
• Supports site in achieving EHS targets & objectives, including development, maintenance, and achievement of goals in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives.
• Leads and supports risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. 
• Drives and promotes a Zero Incident Culture throughout the sites.
• Uses established EHS data processes such as MESH Prism, and Power BI to manage data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items and other pertinent information.
• Assist with the implementation of MESH system and utilize its tools to drive improvements.
• Support EHS engagement through teams and committees’ integration.
• Act as the Environmental Health & Safety Management Representative for all 3rd party certifications and manages the internal audit programs.
• Attend legal inspections, as well as respond to non-conformities in a timely and proper manner. 
• Responsible for municipal, state, and federal licenses, permits and requirements RTO (STPS).
• Wide knowledge of the legal requirements of local, state, and federal government agencies.
• Review site environmental permits and ensure compliance.
• Champion the MESH MOC process as required. 
• Evaluate jobs work instructions for possible ergonomic improvements.
• Investigate all incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Meet any other activity assigned by your supervisor or special requirements of the company.
• Active participation in continuous improvement programs, committees and councils. 
• Knowledge and compliance with all policies applicable to the role.

Qualifications:

Education level required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety Engineering or related field from an accredited institution required.

Years and area of experience required
• Minimum of 3 years of working experience in Environmental, Health and Safety in a manufacturing environment or a combination of those functions.

Technical knowledge
• Operation Excellence indicators on Safety.
• Strong EHS processes knowledge (RSA, LSR, emergency preparedness, fire Safety, hygiene & ergonomics).
• Strong Environmental aspects knowledge (aspects assessment, waste, water, emission & energy management).
• Understanding knowledge of ISO 14001/NOM/STPS regulations.
• Lean fundamental understanding.
• Must have advance level verbal and written English skills required.
• Proficiency in computer skills Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).
