Chenega Systems (CS) provides federal agencies empowered solutions in Cybersecurity and Data Visualization. Our Subject Matter Experts offer decades of experience working in the federal marketplace and the data visualization environment.
The Infrasturcture Architect is responsible for all aspects of the development and maintenance of the assigned enterprise architecture project and takes the project from planning through final delivery.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain blueprints and strategies for the organization's entire IT infrastructure, ensuring it aligns with current and future business needs.Oversee the implementation and integration of new hardware, software, network systems, and cloud solutions.Evaluate existing infrastructure for performance, security, and efficiency, identifying areas for improvement and risk mitigation.Work with IT teams, business leaders, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure infrastructure projects support strategic goals.Implement and enforce security policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices to protect the organization's systems.Manage the entire lifecycle of infrastructure components, including upgrades, maintenance, and decommissioning.Act as a technical consultant, providing guidance and support to IT teams and translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Master of Science in Information Technology or Business Process field preferred10+ years of experienceEnterprise Architecture Practitioner Certification and 10+ years of DoD Enterprise Architecture experienceAlternative to certification: 15+ years Enterprise Architecture Practitioner within the Department of Defense and/or Intelligence CommunityTS/SCI clearance required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Deep knowledge of networks, servers, storage, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and operating systemsStrong analytical skills to assess complex systems, identify problems, and devise comprehensive solutionsExcellent communication skills to convey technical information to diverse audiences, both technical and non-technicalAbility to manage infrastructure-related projects from conception to completion, often within budget and timeframe constraintsThe capacity to develop long-term infrastructure strategies and align them with overarching business objectivesHow you’ll grow
