How you will create impact
The Infrastructure PMO Lead – Real Estate is responsible for global IT project delivery for real estate projects. We are seeking the unique professional with deep experience both in real estate/construction as well as IT delivery. This skilled individual will have a track record of partnering with real estate and construction teams to deliver IT for new site builds, relocations site refurbs and restacks for various business groups within AIG, in a fast paced, high stakes environment. The leader will serve as a key liaison between IT teams Corporate Real Estate and construction teams, ensuring that all IT components – from infrastructure to digital workplace technologies – are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to enterprise standards.
The role requires experience managing complex, cross functional programs in a global corporate environment, and the ability to assess real estate/construction plans and then translate those into effective IT deliveries.
Reporting to the Business Operations Lead, Infrastructure, the Infrastructure PMO Lead – Real Estate will work closely with real estate, business unit leaders, and IT teams to deliver the technology at our site locations that support the customer interactions that drive the business and digital experience of the organization.
What you need to know
Portfolio Management
+ Oversee the IT Project portfolio related to office buildouts, renovations, relocations, and consolidations.
+ Monitor project health through project dashboards, risk assessment, and facilitate regular status reviews with project stakeholders and IT leaders.
+ Manage workload and Project Manager staffing levels across the project portfolio.
+ Maintain vendor relationships and leverage third-party vendor support for IT design, data cabling and audio-visual projects.
Stakeholder Engagement
+ Partner closely with the Global Corporate real estate team, along with IT infrastructure and Digital Workplace teams
+ Function as the primary IT contact for Real Estate initiatives, ensuring seamless integration of infrastructure, AV, and digital workplace technologies.
+ Partner with sourcing and procurement teams to strategize selection, benchmark performance, and ensure cost-effectiveness of partners that provide staffing and services.
Project Delivery
+ Coordinate delivery teams across IT including network and digital workplace
+ Ensure clear scope, accurate cost estimates, and realistic timelines for IT deliverables are tied to Real Estate milestones
+ Escalate critical risks and resolve cross functional dependencies
+ Track and manage IT project budgets related to real estate initiatives
+ Continuously improve tools, templates, and processes for planning and tracking IT involvement in real estate projects
+ Leverage lessons learned to optimize future project execution and stakeholder satisfaction
People and Culture
+ Foster a culture of innovation and drive continuous improvement
+ Build high-performing teams focused on the critical skills, competencies and experiences needed to deliver the strategic real estate and IT goals of AIG.
What you'll need to succeed:
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
+ PMP or PgMP certification strongly preferred
+ 8-12+ years of experience in project or program management, with at least 5 years in a PMO leadership or portfolio management role
+ Experience managing IT workstreams for real estate, construction, or facilities-related projects across multiple geographies.
+ Proven track record leading cross functional teams and engaging senior stakeholders in large corporate environments
+ Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, AV, and digital workplace technologies.
+ Strong financial acumen with experience managing large budgets and vendor contracts.
+ Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project and PPM.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills.
For positions based in New York, NY, or Jersey City, NJ the base salary range is $116,000-$145,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
