Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer

Site Location: Templecombe

Primary Purpose of the Role:

Responsible for supporting, configuring and building Systems IT infrastructures, installation on a variety of projects across the business.

Responsibility:

Implementation, maintenance, optimisation and support of customer’s systems supplied and supported by Thales.

Required hardware and software core elements:

Microsoft and RHEL Servers - physical and virtualMicrosoft Windows 10/11 clientHypervisor technologyScripting – Powershell, Configuration as Code – Ansible – DSCServer and client operating systems configurationMicrosoft Active DirectoryGroup PoliciesSCCM, MECM and WSUSWindows and A/V generic updatesProviding 3rd level support and mentoring 2nd/1st line support teamsAlignment with third-party vendors and their applicable software and hardware

Experience:

Minimum 3 years relevant IT hands-on experienceNetworking hands on experience and desire to upskillExperience of and a strong understanding of IT securityExperience of multi-site organisationIdeally currently SC Cleared

This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance. Please visit the UKSV website for further guidance.

To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
