 As an AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Consumer and Community Banking - Digital Technology team, you will utilize your expertise in software, applications, and technical processes to enhance the infrastructure engineering discipline. In this role, you will employ your technical skills, knowledge, and problem - solving strategies to address a variety of applications of moderate complexity.
 Job responsibilitiesDesign, implement, deploy and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructures and CI/CD pipelines on AWS CloudResolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation pathImplement and enforce security best practices and compliance requirements in cloud infrastructures and CI/CD pipelinesConduct regular security assessments and audits of cloud environment, and ensure proactive identification and resolution of infrastructure and application issuesWork closely with development, operations, and security team to ensure seamless integration and delivery applicationDrives the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applicationsPartners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statusesConsiders upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implicationsBe accountable for making significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applicationsAdds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceStrong knowledge of one or more infrastructure disciplines such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessmentsCollaborate with software development teams to design and implement application architectures that leverage cloud services, and participate in code reviews Deep knowledge of AWS Services, Infrastructure as code (IaC), and DevOps practices, as well as understands implementation on infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as AWS Cloud Formation, Terraform, or AWS CDKDevelop, integrate automation build, test and maintain security scanning compliance requirements in cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, using the tools Jenkins, Git lab CI, and AWS code pipelineStrong knowledge of one or more scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, Java, PowerShell, etc.), and experience in software engineering conceptsImplement configuration management using tools in Ansible, Chef, or PuppetExperience with multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private cloudsSet up and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using AWS Cloud Watch, ELK Stack Prometheus, or similar toolsDrives to develop infrastructure engineering knowledge of additional domains, data fluency, and automation knowledge

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsProficient in AWS services and cloud architectureExperience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Cloud Formation, Terraform, or AWS CDKExperience with containerization and orchestration tools (i.e. Dockers and Kubernetes)Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git Lab, AWS Code Pipeline, or Spinnaker
