These technologies and solutions can include computing, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, commercial-off-the-shelf software (COTS), and open-source packages and solutions. They can also include virtual and cloud computing such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS).You will implementstandardinformation security and security controls that can be used to mitigate security threats withinFDBsolutions andservices.You willaid in the technical design and delivery of FDB global projects ensuring ROI andbest value are delivered. They can also include virtual and cloud computing such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) + Perform cross-functional, multidisciplinary technicalsupportand delivery ofFDB globalprojects,Compiletechnology related documentation forGxPand critical IT technologies. Participate in system validation and testing processes asrequired. Represent IT system in connection with audits and inspections + Work withFDBtechnical architects to translate architectural designs intooperationaldeliveredsolutions andservices + Infrastructure engineersare responsible fordeployingnew technology,systems andhardwareensuring that they integrate smoothly with existingsystems andinfrastructure.They ensure that all FDBpolices,and procedures are followed and that all deployed systems meet the securityframeworks inplace **Qualifications & Experience** + Degreeor higher in Computer Science or Information Technologyor relevant technical certifications + 5yrs+ experience in anIT3rd/4th line position with proventrack recordin an enterprise ITinfrastructureenvironment, + or3+years’ experienceof working in a biomedical IT service environment. + Any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent backgroundto deliver against role expectations. **Impact & Decision Making** + The InfrastructureEngineerwill work within the broader Digital Technologies organization to help drive IT/OT alignmentin regard tothe provision of theinfrastructureplatform and services. + In addition, the role is expected to have a broader reach outside traditional IT silos to build relationshipswithin allIT service user towers. + The role will interact withmid-levelstakeholders globallyregardingtechnicalrequirements anddelivery and any associatedinfrastructureneedsbothBAU andproject wise. + Will berequiredtointeract with FDB vendors to ensure solutions are secure and always meet the business technical requirements. Inputin toexternal and internal auditsabouttactical designs andservices. + Theinfrastructureengineerwill require theabilityto make,adviseanddrivedecisions based on informationgatheredand assessed, in consultation with IT and business leadership.
