Job Description

What you get to do in this role:   

As a Software Engineer in the ITAM Content Service team, you will build innovative solutions at the intersection of enterprise applications and AI technologies. Your responsibilities will include:

Develop end-to-end features in our Content Infrastructure by implementing scalable JavaScript-based solutions and integrating with modern AI technologiesWork with AI services and help integrate models from providers like OpenAI, Google Gemini, and Anthropic Claude into enterprise workflowsImplement clean, scalable, and reusable code following industry best practices (code reviews, unit testing, documentation)Create custom user interfaces and widgets using JavaScript frameworks to deliver intuitive user experiencesDesign and develop RESTful APIs that enable seamless interaction between applications and AI-powered servicesLearn and implement basic prompt engineering and retrieval augmented generation (RAG) techniques to enhance AI capabilitiesGain domain expertise in IT Asset Management and contribute to enhancing content curation workflowsCollaborate with product management, application developers, content specialists, and quality teams to deliver high-value solutionsTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise, contributing to the overall stability of our platform

Qualifications

Required:

3-5 years of professional software development experience with strong JavaScript proficiencyExperience building end to end web applications, including exposure to databases.Experience with server-side JavaScript and object-oriented JS patternsKnowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming conceptsFamiliarity with RESTful API design and consumptionBachelor's degree/Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experienceExperience with or willingness to learn ServiceNow platform application development

 

Strongly Preferred:

Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks / object-oriented JS patternsInterest in or exposure to AI technologies and their applicationsAbility to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to platform-specific constraints

 

Nice to Have:

ServiceNow platform development experienceFamiliarity with prompt engineering or LLM integration conceptsExperience with AngularJS (used in ServiceNow Service Portal)Background in enterprise application development
