**Work Schedule** Standard (Mon-Fri) **Environmental Conditions** Office **Job Description** Location/Division Specific Information This position is based Hungary, Budapest, and is part of the Platform and Automation team within Corporate Infrastructure and Security at Thermo Fisher Scientific.How Will You Make an Impact? Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is a foundational principle in how we design and build infrastructure at Thermo Fisher Scientific. By automating deployments and streamlining operations, we empower our engineering teams to focus on higher-impact initiatives. In this role, you will help design, develop, and maintain software solutions and APIs that enable integration across platforms like public/private cloud, infrastructure tools, and enterprise systems.A Day in the Life: + Design, develop, and maintain integrations between infrastructure systems and enterprise platforms (e.g., Terraform Enterprise, ServiceNow, StackStorm, Ansible). + Build and maintain scalable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions. + Contribute to the architecture and selection of tools, frameworks, and best practices. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver robust automation solutions. + Document systems, APIs, and workflows for sustainability and team collaboration. Education: + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Experience: + Strong development experience with Python. + Experience working with and designing REST APIs. + Hands-on experience in IaC and cloud automation projects. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: + Required: Proficiency in Python. + Advantageous: + Familiarity with infrastructure automation and configuration tools such as: + Terraform (big plus!) + Ansible, Jenkins, Vault + StackStorm, ServiceNow + Experience with cloud platforms: + AWS, Azure, VMware + Strong communication and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a distributed team environment.
