Job Description

Bosch XC Division has created an environment that promotes innovation and collaboration. All associates of the division provide valuable input to the company. With the highly interactive nature of the products developed in the division, testing is a crucial element to the development of these components. The tasks associated with position include:

Work in a team of technicians/engineers validating/qualifying software for highly complex In-vehicle infotainment products.Create test plans and test cases; Execute test cases / checklistsSupport Customer Onsite & Road Testing related to Navigation, Telematics, Traffic & other SXM servicesInterface with customer, project manager, technical project manager, customer project manager and all other stakeholders to understand their needsEvaluates the stakeholder technical requirementsDetection of software defects and provide pre-analysis on reported issuesCoordination with global testing team to resolve issuesTest customer reported issues and provide missing data or informationPerform Testing / Automated Testing in vehicle as well as bench testing/troubleshooting.Ensure test results are documented and communicated appropriatelyReported Defects are entered in the defect management tool.Responsible for Problem Resolution ManagementTracking and solving the problemDecline the problemCheck if resolution is neededMust have a valid driver’s license with good driving record and safe driving skillsTake logs and traces as requested by the teamAble to unlock and lock head unitsUse CANoe to update PD/CDD/CD as well as change configurations (speakers, region, antenna type, model year)Able to take MCAN logs with MCAT as well as analyze MCAN messages from TCU to IVIDevelop, release, and verify system concepts for SXM feature area in cooperation with the architectsTrack maturity of feature implementation provided by the development team(s)

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in the field of Engineering / Computer Science2+ Years of experience in Software System Testing.2+ year experience Using Diagnostic & Post Processing Software Tools2+ year experience On Standard Defect Management & Test Management Systems; Eg: HP QC, ALM, JIRA, Bugzilla, RTCMust have a valid US driver’s license with good driving record and safe driving skills

Preferred:

Good Knowledge of XM Tuner testing and SMITE toolFamiliarity with RQM, RTC, CANoe, ArtifactoryUnderstand and adapt existing test plans for specific customer project requirements.Able to perform Rapid Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & Troubleshooting of IssuesAbility to work with Global Development Teams to resolve software bugs & ensure specification requirements.Experience analyzing test failures to identify incorrect test cases versus software defects.Proactively push to improve and streamline all areas of the testing process.Pro-active attitude with interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers Capable to work independently in an organized and structured fashion Ability to interface With QA Lead Regarding Release Schedules, Training, Testing Schedule Assistance, & Review Test Cases (soft skills are key)Aptitude to follow previously established guidelines to provide high quality results.Highly motivated and accountable for assigned tasks.Excellent oral and written communication skills & able to have critical communication with OE customer Problem solving attitude.Team player with strong interpersonal skills to work in a global organizationComfortable with in-vehicle testingSupport in building test benches for certification submission
