Job Description:

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data scientists, AI engineers, and analysts.

Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages continuous learning and professional growth

Set clear goals, expectations, and performance metrics for the team.

Develop and execute the data science and AI strategy in alignment with organizational objectives.

Identify opportunities to leverage data science and AI to solve business challenges and improve processes.

Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the team remains at the forefront of innovation.

Provide technical guidance and support to the team in areas such as machine learning, statistical modeling, data analysis, and AI development.

Review and validate models, algorithms, and solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Work closely with business leaders, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable data science and AI solutions.

Monitor and evaluate the impact of data science and AI initiatives on business outcomes.

Develop KPIs and metrics to measure the success of projects and team performance.

Managing staff including hiring, performance management, salary administration, career development, motivation, teambuilding.

Budget and Planning. Create and administer department and project budgets

What Are We Looking For?

Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a 4 year degree; or 8 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent experience.

10 years direct experience in data science, analytics & modeling

2-3 years of experience of people management & managing a technical implementation

Direct experience solving supply chain issues

Direct experience building forecasting models, optimization, time-series modeling techniques, and advanced machine learning methods

Experience designing and developing Big Data Systems including Hadoop, DataBricks & Azure platforms

Is accountable for the performance and results of a team within own discipline or function

Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges

Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance from senior manager

Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers

Accountable for the budget, performance and results of a medium-sized team or multiple small teams

Exercises full management authority, including performance reviews, pay decisions, recruitment, discipline, termination and other personnel actions

Addresses issues with impact beyond own team based on knowledge of related disciplines

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday required office days for Dry Creek/Panorama Office sites; Monday, Friday-work from home.

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:$137,600.00 - $191,180.00

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
