SUMMARY: As an integral member of the Infrastructure Transition Team within our enterprise IT organization, you will provide comprehensive support and deliver end-to-end infrastructure services across cloud environments, operating systems, network virtualization, and operational integrations. You will actively engage in project activities including feasibility analysis, scoping, scheduling, and task management. A significant part of your role involves managing the full lifecycle of server onboarding and offboarding—ensuring smooth integration of new servers into the infrastructure and efficient, secure decommissioning of retired assets. You will focus on optimizing and automating the decommission process using coding and scripting to improve efficiency, reduce risks, and maintain compliance. Collaborating closely with product development teams, you will ensure seamless integration across both cloud and on-premise technologies through infrastructure provisioning, orchestration, and solution development. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in delivering infrastructure projects and managing production environments with expertise in both cloud and on-premise technologies. Strong coding skills and application integration experience are essential to support automation, DevOps practices, and continuous improvement of operational workflows. Responsibilities Provide expert support for Windows and Linux operating systems to ensure smooth, secure, and reliable infrastructure operations. Manage server onboarding and offboarding processes, automating tasks to improve efficiency and minimize risks. Use coding and DevOps methodologies to continuously improve and automate infrastructure workflows. Identify and remediate system vulnerabilities promptly, using strong system administration skills to ensure the security and integrity of the infrastructure. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible, Python, Terraform, AWX, CloudFormation, and other tools across cloud and on-premises environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and implement hybrid cloud strategies. Ensure seamless integration between cloud-native platforms and traditional infrastructure components. Solve complex system issues, optimize performance, and maintain high availability and reliability. Communicate proactively with partners to provide project updates and maintain transparency. Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to enhance system scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness. Drive continuous innovation by adopting new tools and technologies that improve system reliability and performance. Support hybrid cloud environments by enabling smooth migration paths for legacy applications and efficient deployment of cloud-native workloads. Maintain expertise in AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure infrastructure, using automation and configuration management tools to optimize operations. Oversee multi-cloud and on-premises system administration, ensuring compliance with industry standards and security best practices. Define and enforce infrastructure management policies, procedures, and standard methodologies for both modern and legacy environments. Champion an automation-first approach to infrastructure management, reducing manual interventions and increasing system resilience. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the organization at the forefront of next-generation infrastructure solutions. Qualifications 2-5 years of technical delivery. 3+ years of experience working within a public cloud environment, preferably Window, Linux, AWS and Azure. Proven experience supporting Windows and Linux operating systems in enterprise environments. Solid skills in scripting and automation with tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation. Solid understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Experience with server lifecycle management, including onboarding and offboarding processes. Excellent problem-solving and solving skills in hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Good communication skills for effective collaboration with technical teams and stakeholders. Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous learning and innovation. Previous experience working with Agile Development Practices. Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be a great teammate with a strong, self-managing work ethic. Scripting and Automation: Intermediate scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) to automate routine tasks and streamline system administration. Strong preference for Python. Knowledge of emerging technologies related to infrastructure (i.e., network, data center, hardware, software) and standard processes. Understanding of operating system fundamentals including user and kernel space, memory management, shared libraries, file and network IO, Windows registry, software distribution, etc. Experience with the project lifecycle of network integrations, infrastructure build, data center builds, and/or network hardware refresh.
