Information Systems Engineer 4 Windows Endpoint Services
Overview
Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Windows System Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, and support of our Windows server infrastructure, end-user systems, and core business applications. This role requires expertise in Active Directory, strong knowledge of asset and inventory management, proficiency in endpoint security and patch management, and experience with virtualization platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure and Directory Services Management
Manage, monitor, and maintain the organization's Microsoft Windows Server environment (2016/2019/2022).
Administer and support Active Directory (AD), including Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, DHCP, and user/group management.
Ensure the security, availability, and performance of critical domain services.
Asset and Inventory Management
Develop and maintain accurate inventory records of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.
Implement and manage an asset tracking system to monitor the lifecycle of devices and ensure compliance.
Coordinate with procurement to manage hardware refreshes and software license renewals.
Endpoint and Patch Management
Implement, configure, and maintain endpoint management solutions for deployment, security, and monitoring.
Plan, test, and deploy operating system and application patches across the entire environment to ensure systems are secure and up-to-date.
Manage endpoint security solutions, including anti-virus/anti-malware and host intrusion prevention systems.
Application and Desktop Virtualization
Administer and support application and desktop virtualization platforms
Manage virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) images, profiles, and access.
Ensure high availability and optimal performance of virtual environments.
General System Administration
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex issues across the server and network infrastructure(vlans, routing, firewalls)
Maintain and test backup and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
Document system configurations, processes, and operational procedures.
Provide third-tier support for all Windows-related issues.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of experience in Windows Server and Desktop administration in a professional IT environment.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Management.
Proven experience with endpoint management tools.
Solid understanding of networking concepts.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) is a plus.
