The Role at a Glance

As the sole IT Security lead for Elior North America (ENA)—the U.S. operations of Elior Group, a leader in contract foodservice—you’ll own the build-and-defend agenda for our region. You’ll protect the identity, endpoints, networks, and cloud platforms that power meal service across schools, healthcare and senior living communities, and workplace dining—helping our teams nourish lives safely every day.

Reporting to senior IT leadership and partnering closely with our Global Security (CISO) team in France, you’ll translate global strategy into North American execution. This is a highly cooperative role with strong executive visibility and autonomy—ideal for a seasoned systems or network engineer who has owned security responsibilities and is ready to formalize that ownership at scale without giving up hands-on work.

What You’ll Be Doing

Security Program Leadership – Build security into core infrastructure: harden Windows Server/Active Directory/Entra ID and M365; enforce secure baselines (CIS), least privilege, and PKI/cert hygiene; drive patching and configuration management across servers, endpoints, and network gear. Align policies, standards, and controls to Group cybersecurity requirements.  Risk & Compliance Oversight – Identify and assess infrastructure risks (identity, endpoints, network, cloud); maintain a prioritized risk register and remediation plans; coordinate audits and evidence; ensure alignment with U.S. frameworks such as NIST (and where applicable HIPAA, SOX, CCPA, PCI). Support vendor/third-party risk reviews and validate backup/DR readiness.  Security Operations & Incident Response – Lead day-to-day SecOps: tune and operate EDR/XDR and SIEM (e.g., Microsoft Defender/Sentinel or similar), triage alerts, and manage incident response/forensics. Own vulnerability management and patch cadence across servers, endpoints, and network devices; strengthen segmentation, VPN, email security/DLP, and Zero Trust/Conditional Access controls.  Leadership & Awareness – Guide and oversee security contractors/MSPs; coach infrastructure admins on secure configurations (GPOs, NAC, firewall rules, certificate lifecycle). Deliver practical awareness and admin-level training to build a culture of accountability and repeatable playbooks for changes and incidents.  Collaboration & Representation – Serve as the primary NA security contact for IT and business leaders. Partner closely with Infrastructure/Network/Helpdesk on projects (site builds, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN/VPN, M&A integrations). Represent ENA in the Global Security Team security forums and councils and coordinate with external partners or regulators as needed.

Typical technologies you may touch: AD/Entra ID, M365/Intune, Windows Server, Cisco/Meraki/Fortinet/Palo Alto, MFA/SSO/Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender (EDR), Sentinel/SIEM, PowerShell automation, Azure and key SaaS platforms.

What We’re Looking For

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field or equivalent years of experience.   Experience: 7–10+ years of progressive experience in information security, IT risk management, or cybersecurity; prior leadership/people management strongly preferred.  Knowledge & Skills: Deep familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls); strong grasp of U.S. regulatory requirements (HIPAA, SOX, CCPA); proven success in managing incident response and security operations.  Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities; skilled at translating technical risks into business impact.  Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA Security, CompTIA CySA, CompTIA CASP+, or equivalent.
