Position Summary

The Information Security Analyst is responsible for modeling the Compassus values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of Success as the foundation. S/he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders. The Information Security Analyst plans and implements security measures to protect computer networks and systems. The analyst identifies threats and monitors the organization's networks for any breaches in security. Additionally, the analyst ensures that our policies and procedures are aligned with industry best practices, including those recommended by the HITRUST CSF. Installs software and encryption, reports breaches or weak spots, researches IT trends, and educates colleagues on IT security risks and best practices including simulated security attacks to identify vulnerabilities. The Information Security Analyst creates contingency plans to respond to cyber-attacks.


Position Specific Responsibilities

Monitors computer networks for security issues and performs testing to identify vulnerabilities.Analyzes new business technologies to identify and/or remediate IT security concerns and provides feedback and recommendations to leadership.Installs security measures and operates software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.Investigates and documents security breaches and other cyber security incidents and assess the damage.Ensures compliance with Compassus HITRUST policies and procedures and maintains a high-security standard.Develops company-wide best practices for IT security.Educates colleagues on information security topics.Manages the Compassus identify management platform.Performs other duties as assigned.


Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or related major preferred.Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience preferred.HITRUST framework knowledge preferred.Healthcare experience preferred


Skills

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and percentages.Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. Strong written and verbal communications. Able to document as required by regulations. Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Able to successfully write reports and business correspondence. Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from ColleaguesOther Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces hospice philosophy. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information, such as patient and company files.


Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations

CompTIA Security+, or other relevant IT security certification preferred.


Physical Demands and Work Environment: The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Adaptations can be made to accommodate team members with disabilities. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
