Information Security Analyst
Description Essential Functions and Responsibilities: • Monitoring security events and incidents to detect unauthorized access or abnormal behavior within the organization's systems. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address security concerns and implement appropriate solutions. • Respond promptly to security incidents, conduct investigations, and provide recommendations for remediation. • Developing and implementing security awareness training and education initiatives for employees to promote a culture of security within the organization. • Assist in developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and best practices to safeguard organization’s assets. • Providing recommendations for remediation and improving incident response processes based on lessons learned from security incidents. • Perform other security-related tasks as assigned. Desired Experience and Abilities • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies. • Proficiency in security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and vulnerability management systems. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex security issues, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions. • Commitment to staying informed about the latest security trends, threats, and technologies through ongoing learning and professional development activities. • Adaptability to evolving business requirements and changing threat landscapes. • Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to security-related tasks. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Skills Risk management, Security, Compliance, Information security, Nist Top Skills Details Risk management,Security,Compliance,Information security,Nist Additional Skills & Qualifications Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in information security or related field. • Strong understanding of computer and network security principles, protocols, and technologies. • Proficiency in security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and vulnerability management. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams. • Experience with security compliance frameworks (e.g., CIS, NIS CSF, NIST RMF, ISO 27001) is a plus. • Knowledge of Splunk and CrowdStrike EDR is a plus. Experience Level Expert Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
