Clearance Requirement: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance

Mission

Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Information Assurance Specialist to support cybersecurity operations at Yokota Air Base, Japan, with additional responsibilities at Andersen AFB, Guam. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the security of critical Air Force systems across the Pacific theater. You’ll work alongside experienced IT and cybersecurity professionals, supporting the Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) mission and helping safeguard national defense infrastructure.

As part of this role, you’ll assist in implementing system security plans, conducting real-time assessments, and developing risk mitigation strategies. You’ll also collaborate with senior cybersecurity leaders to ensure compliance with DoD and Intelligence Community standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities for AFJWICS systems in Japan and Guam, including remote support and on-site visits

Perform continuous monitoring and real-time security assessments to ensure system integrity

Enforce cybersecurity policies under the direction of PACAF ISSM, CISO, and SSO

Provide troubleshooting support for PKI certificates and multi-factor authentication tokens

Deliver onboarding and training for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) ISSOs

Participate in cybersecurity working groups and meetings, both virtual and in-person

Draft and review Security Impact Analyses (SIAs) for system modifications

Process Change Requests (CRs) through the PACAF Configuration Management Board (CMB)

Maintain comprehensive security documentation and artifacts required for Authorization to Operate (ATO)

Collaborate with the SSO to respond to cybersecurity incidents and implement corrective actions

Manage and track SCI user accounts, ensuring timely deactivation of inactive accounts

Conduct system self-assessments and contribute to Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) for non-compliant controls

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, or related discipline with 8+ years of related experience. Additional experience, training, and/or certifications may substitute degree requirement.

US Citizen; Currently possess an active Top Secret / SCI clearance

Proficient in NIST RMF and DoD cybersecurity policies

IAM Level II certification (e.g., CAP, GSLC, or equivalent)

Strong analytical skills with a methodical approach to problem-solving

Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex cybersecurity issues

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT Systems, or related field

5+ years of experience in C4ISR, IT, or IA-related roles

Familiarity with Intelligence Community (IC) IT Security Controls

Understanding of USAF operations and the Pacific Theater

IAM Level III certification (e.g., CISSP) is a plus

Pay Range:Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
