HOW A CYBER SECURITY ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Performs forensic analysis of digital information and gathers and handles evidence. Identifies network computer intrusion evidence and perpetrators.Knowledge of Windows Defender and Microsoft Sentinel SIEM operation and ability to detect, analyze and respond to security threats.Ability to rapidly assessing and prioritizing security alerts and incidents based on risk and urgencyYou play a key role in protecting your organization's valuable dataYou play a critical role in preventing cyber-attacks or the compromising of systems to protect individuals and large organizationsDynamic team environment with focus on leadership and mentorship

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Certifications:

Requires one or more of the following governance, risk, assurance or security certifications: CompTIA Sec+, CISSP, CRMA, CGEIT, CRISC, CISM, CISA, CBCP, GIAC or related governance certifications.

Experience:

At least one (1) years of Cyber Information Security Analysis for IT systems in a government environment and the following experience:

Experience with SOC operationExperience with Windows Defender and Microsoft Sentinel SIEM and ServiceNowExperience with FISMA / NIST / government security requirements.Knowledge of NIST, OMB, and or RMFInteract with project technical teams and AmeriCorps System owner and other Government information security teams.Develop SSPs and POA&MsTrack identified risks and exceptions and manage to resolution via POAMs.Conduct risk and vulnerability assessment at the network, system and application level.Review Nessus and Qualys scans and report on vulnerabilities.Manage system accreditation process, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure that reviews are successful.Implement security controls and formulate operational risk mitigations along with assisting in security awareness programs.Research, evaluate and recommend new security tools, techniques, and technologies.Understand relevant Federal policies and regulations for PKI, networking, IT systems, virtualization, and cloud.Demonstrate initiative, judgement, responsiveness, and excellent communications skills both written and verbal.Conducts regular assessments of site implementation of FISMA controls to support Continuous Monitoring.Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.

Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree equivalent

Security Clearance Level: Agency specific (PUBLIC TRUST)
