Informatics Specialist

Position Summary:

Under direct supervision from Corporate Director Employee Health and Safety, the Employee Health Informatics Specialist is responsible for oversight, implementation, improvement, maintenance and staff training of the computer systems and software applications that support employee health operations and services.  This role will also support continuous improvement and cultural transformation initiatives throughout the organization within employee health; support the implementation and management of enterprise projects; coordinate special projects; compile and extract data and create reports and dashboards to track and communicate quality metrics across the entire system. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

Apply knowledge of employee health (EH) and informatics to assist in the design, development, and ongoing modification of the computerized employee health documentation system. Develops an understanding of application functionality, reporting capabilities, interfacing, and integration associated with applications assigned. Educate staff and assist in problem solving to promote the implementation of the EH electronic documentation system Provide support and training to staff on EH documentation system, including documentation, instructions, and job aids. Monitor and manage the security and confidentiality of  EH documentation system.        Facilitate and monitor access control of EH documentation system including but not limited to account creation, permissions, password resets and account unlocks. Provide technical support, diagnosis of application errors, and troubleshooting of EH documentation system.

Qualifications:

Required:

        Bachelor’s degree in business, science or related field.         2 years of work experience in an IT related environment          1 year of experience in data analytics or process improvement experience.

Preferred:

1 year of experience coordinating projects/service line related activities. Masters degree in business or related field
