The Role

This role will be responsible for leading our growing Maritime capability in NSW. We are ideally looking for an industry professional who is equally comfortable winning work and leading bids as well as overseeing project execution and managing multidisciplinary delivery teams. You will also play key part in shaping the strategy in terms of building our maritime capability, one that is renowned for achieving exceptional outcomes and providing clients with sound engineering advice.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrate day-to-day Project Leadership working closely with the Maritime team.Identify value-adds, innovations and other points of difference that KBR can deliver or develop further and connect these with KBR’s clients via regular discussion / engagement.Client relationship management, pursuit planning and proposal managementForm and nurture relationships within the market to support development of new and ongoing repeat work for the businessUndertake early-game positioning and complete pre-tender plans so as to improve the company’s probability of success prior to the tender brief arriving (via points of differences and value-adds).Develop and maintain and pipeline of opportunities and agree targets to begin positioningProject delivery and engineering excellenceAccountable, typically as a project leader, for the successful project delivery of KBR’s contracted services to the client against cost, time, and quality objectivesWork closely with the client and internal staff to effectively manage expectations, contract compliance, and achieve compliance with KBR systems and processesLead and manage a multi-disciplinary team (both internal KBR disciplines as well as external sub-consultant partners)

Qualifications and Experience

A solid track record and demonstrated experience within the maritime sector, preferably in NSWDInsight and experience working within the NSW transport sector   Strong technical design abilityDegree qualifiedSignificant experience in an engineering consulting environmentProven ability to develop win strategies and proposal methodologies that support winning new businessExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated experience in developing, managing, and maintaining positive industry relationships that result in opportunities converted into projectsStrong client contacts within the maritime sectorStrong stakeholder management skillsWorking knowledge of commercial arrangements and relationshipsStrong practical knowledge of and commitment to health and safety
