Acknowledge and grant access to approved visitors, contractors, and suppliers (list available in Guardhouse). Record all visitors in the Access Control logs maintained in the Guardhouse. Offer professional and courteous directional guidance to visitors. Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized access and protect against loss. Ensure that all contractors and suppliers comply with site access procedures. Direct deliveries to the appropriate department or contact person (guards are not permitted to sign for deliveries). Enforce site policy prohibiting pedestrian traffic. Qualifications for an Industrial Security Guard Be authorized to work in Canada Clean criminal record Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle to get to and from the site Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate logs and records First aid certification an asset Exceptional customer service skills Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
