We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineer to join our team for a critical project in the oil and gas industry, focusing on the design and implementation of advanced control systems in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
Role Overview Operate under the guidance of the Industrial Relations Manager to ensure effective IR management. Maintain professional relationships with Contractors, Subordinates, and Project Management. Manage daily activities of IR Officers and align with Contractor IR procedures. Oversee daily monitoring activities of IR Officers. Assist IR Officers with engagement activities with Contractors. Support the IR Manager in disciplinary actions and hearings. Ensure proper maintenance of records by IR Officers. Monitor Contractor and sub-contractor IR Plan implementation. Collate daily reports from IR Officers and issue performance reports to the IR Manager. Elevate onsite Contractor and Project IR issues to the Site Manager and IR Manager. Prepare inputs for routine and non-routine reporting. Assist in investigating and resolving IR non-conformance issues. Coordinate workforce planning per Labour Management Plans. Verify compliance with recruitment procedures in approved Labour Management Plans. Liaise with various stakeholders regarding Contractor labour management and recruitment processes. Identify and manage risks associated with Contractor demobilization planning. Ensure efficient management of IR Officers' performance and training needs. Plan for sufficient IR coverage in the field through effective human resource planning. Skills & Qualifications Industrial Engineering: Strong background in industrial relations and employment law. Labor Relations Coordination: Proven experience in managing labor relations within construction or logistics sectors. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and regulations. Communication Skills: Proficient in English and Kiswahili, with strong interpersonal skills. IT Proficiency: Strong data collection capabilities and report writing skills. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex situations and provide effective solutions. Supervisory Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory role within a diverse workforce. Education & Experience Qualifications: Minimum undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline. Experience: At least 6 years of experience in labor or employment law, industrial relations, or related fields.
