To support our existing business and enable future growth we are offering a 12-month Industrial Placement opportunity to join a team dedicated to Engineering. The role will be based on site at Kilkeel, Northern Ireland. **What you will do:** Supported by our experienced team you will: + Working with other teams and functions to support production lines to deliver product + Support problem solving activities + Implementing change notifications into production + Ensure the accuracy of Manufacturing Bills of Materials. + Improve where appropriate shop floor processes and control systems to optimize material flow. + Identify the need for appropriate assembly tooling, jigs and fixtures etc. to enhance productivity. + To assist in the introduction of lean manufacturing process improvements and cost reduction initiatives. + Other duties as required to support business needs. **What you will learn:** + Understanding of how a fast-paced and complex manufacturing line works + Influence of engineering on an operations facility + Understanding of the aerospace industry and impact of product and aviation requirements **Skills and Experience** **Required:** This Industrial Placement opportunity is suited to you if you are passionate about a career in Engineering. We will delight in training and supporting you during your placement which means you need to be a willing learner and committed to achieving both business and personal results whilst working as part of a team. **Essential Criteria:** In addition to the above you should be studying towards a degree or integrated master's in an Engineering discipline and be available to complete a 12-month placement commencing in June/July 2026. You will be proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD systems, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have experience working within a team environment. You will demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure to meet deadlines. **Desirable Criteria:** + Understanding of implementing the principles of lean manufacturing. + Substantial relevant engineering experience gained in a manufacturing environment **What We Offer:** In return we offer a benefits package which includes a competitive base salary as well as 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
