Engineering Industrial Placement

Location: Cheadle, Crawley or Templecombe

Our exciting Engineering Industrial Placement role will develop your understanding of Engineering. You will support the team to deliver Engineering solutions to deadlines and within budget.

As an Engineering Intern you will develop key skills and experience in the following:

•            Understanding of your Engineering discipline

•            Keenness to learn sonar Engineering development and systems

Internship:

Through our internship you’ll be making the most of your talents, getting to understand engineering from the ground up; and doing so with the help of one of the biggest and best names in the industry. We have opportunities across various disciplines of Engineering and across multiple sites.

These opportunities are available in Templecombe, Crawley and Cheadle

Who we’re looking for:

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are motivated, committed and keen to learn.  You will be a self-starter who is able to manage their time, show initiative and has a genuine interest in engineering and Thales. Successful candidates will show self-discipline and an aspiration to work in a sonar defence environment.

Entry requirements:

This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance.  Please visit the UKSV website for further guidance.

To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years.  In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
