Join our client on a long-term project in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where you’ll be part of a dedicated team working in a well-supported environment. Our client has been building vessels for over 50 years and has been at the forefront of Canadian shipbuilding for over 130 years.
We are looking for a skilled Painter to join our clients team.
What You Will Receive: Competitive Wage - $35 / hour Monday to Friday schedule Comprehensive Benefits after probation (medical, dental, vision, life insurance & more) Additional overtime offered LOA and Travel covered
What You’ll Do: Work with different types of materials or products such as general metal products, construction materials or coatings to paint ships Moving ladders, paint cans, and other painting equipment Finding ways to reduce the costs of equipment and supplies. Ensure all work adheres to safety standards, codes, and project specifications Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete projects on time
What You Need: Industrial painting experience Access to pot/brush Must be able to wear PPE + Fit Tested Respirator Mask Certifications: Confined Space, WHMIS, and Fall Protection Must pass a Pre-employment security clearance/background and credit check
