Wakefield MA-  Industrial Maintenance Tech (ICT1)

The Opportunity: 

As an Industrial maintenance technician for our corrugated packaging plant, you will work to keep our equipment up and running to OEM standards. You will use your expertise and experience to work with maintenance leadership, our operators, vendors & corporate reliability team to ensure maximum uptime and help us safely meet our production goals. Wakefield is a SEIU union facility. 

How you will help us:

 

Follow all safety rules and practicesProvide electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, preventive and emergency maintenance for our fast-paced corrugated packaging facilityAs priorities demand, performing emergency breakdown maintenance as necessary to support plant operations including preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components; and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels.Help train your peers and more junior team members on skillsets you can share

 

What you will need to succeed:

 

A successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems, mechanical drives, pneumatics, hydraulics on high speed, high volume industrial equipment.Critical skillset is troubleshooting and repairing DC Electrical Controls.The ability to reference equipment manuals.Strong understanding and application of precision maintenanceWillingness to maintain clean and organized work areas and cleaning up work areas as part of completing assigned tasks May operate forklifts, hoists, and other heavy equipment Strong knowledge of maintenance work order systemsStrong Computer SkillsStrong understanding of 5SWillingness to complete any maintenance work as necessary

 

Education and Work Experience:

Three or more years’ experience working with large industrial equipment troubleshooting. Microsoft OfficeElectrical knowledge and experience with electrical and industrial control systems.Excellent communication skills and effective team-building skills a must. Mentorship and willingness to help train your teammates.Experience in corrugated packaging or similar high volume, no redundancy manufacturing environment  A fireman license valid in the Commonwealth of MA is highly valued

The salary rate for this position is $37.08 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location. The benefits for this role may include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 5 days of paid vacation, and 12 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change.
