Industrial Maintenance Supervisor

Basic Qualifications:

Work Environment:

The Supervisor operates in various environments requiring PPE to be worn as outlined by EHS and OSHA. In this position, you will be exposed to working areas with various noise and weather conditions.

PPE requirements consist of, but are not limited to:

Metatarsal ShoesSafety GlassesCut-Resistant GlovesHearing ProtectionHard HatOther PPE as necessary depending on the area

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED required3+ years of industrial maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment required2+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience preferred

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor plans, schedules and manages maintenance tasks to keep multiple buildings and various equipment in working order. This includes leading a team of Maintenance Technicians with varying skillsets, who perform repairs and report issues. The Supervisor is self-motivated and can work under time constraints to meet the needs of the production department. 

Key Responsibilities:

Safety & Compliance:

Provide a safe work environment and ensure all safety and environmental policies are being followed

Supervision & Leadership:

Supervise and coordinate a team of 8 technicians; assign daily work orders and monitor progress to ensure quality 

Hire and train maintenance technicians including contractors

Conduct regular performance reviews of the maintenance team

Partner with Operations and EHS to establish daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance priorities

Technical Troubleshooting:

Troubleshoot complex electrical systems (PLCs, motors, transformers) ensuring proper repair techniques

Assist and lead with repairs on various equipment to ensure production meets operational goals

Preventative Maintenance (PM): 

Develop and implement proactive maintenance schedules for PLC systems, high-voltage distribution and industrial machinery to minimize downtime

Create and track work orders

Identify and present significant maintenance needs to upper management

Budgeting & Purchasing:

Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, order critical spare parts, and coordinate with vendors or outside contractors
