The ideal candidate will have experience with thermal processing equipment, pneumatic and electrical systems, and a strong understanding of material handling systems used in PET processing environments. **Duties and Responsibilities:** + Perform routine and emergency maintenance on PET crystallizers, dryers and auxiliary equipment. + Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and process issues using standard troubleshooting procedures. + Conduct inspections and calibration of temperature controls, heaters, blowers, and air flow systems. + Monitor and maintain dryer dew point levels and ensure crystallizers are operating within process parameters. + Replace, repair, or adjust components such as motors, belts, sensors, thermocouples, filters, and air lines. + Read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and process flow diagrams. + Document all work performed in maintenance logs and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). + Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance. + Participate in continuous improvement and root cause analysis initiatives. + Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and company policies. **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications:** + High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or related field preferred. + 3+ years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a plastic processing or thermoforming environment. + Familiarity with PET crystallization and drying systems (e.g., Novatec or UnaDyn). + Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems, PLC interfaces, and pneumatic systems. + Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced production setting. + Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and perform tasks in hot environments. + Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or be on-call as needed. **Competencies:** A team player with good interpersonal skills and the ability to proactively communicate ideas, changes and improvement suggestions; handle multiple and diverse manufacturing tasks with minimum supervision; and the willingness to be flexible with job responsibilities. **Pactiv Evergreen** is now a part of Novolex. **Novolex** is a leading manufacturer of food, beverage, and specialty packaging that supports multiple industries, including foodservice, restaurant delivery and carryout, food processing, grocery and retail, and industrial sectors.
