We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our manufacturing facility in Dublin, GA. This is an opportunity to become part of a family friendly team, in an expanding company with room for advancement.
**What You'll Do:**
Responsible for the safe installation, maintenance and repair of general production and facility equipment. The position responsibilities include assembling and installing air ducts and material transport pipe systems, pipe supports, including repair to hydraulic, pneumatic and pumping equipment. Responsible for material transport systems, (pipes, conveyor fans, belts), maintenance and repairs on gearboxes, bearings bushings, couplings and clutches, roller chain or V belt transmissions, and industrial production and processing systems.
**Job Requirements:**
+ Responsible for moving and installing equipment, analysing mechanical and pneumatic malfunctions. Disassembles, adjusts, repair and/or reassembles machine tool components, including but not limited to hydraulics, clutches, brakes, turrets, etc. Designs and fabricates parts and performs modifications. In addition to using normal machine tools, repairs or fabricates special parts by machining, grinding, drilling and welding.
+ Troubleshoots, analyses and repairs all equipment. Inspects repairs, replaces, installs, adjusts and maintains mechanical equipment and machinery as required.- Works from machine prints, sketches, manuals and/or verbal directives. Works with Engineering to resolve application problems or design new systems as may be required. Investigate reports of mechanical breakdowns; test machinery and equipment and perform repairs.
+ Responsible for the performance of scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) on all assigned machinery and equipment. Establishes and assures proper record maintenance.
+ Maintain appropriate supply of spare parts and maintenance supplies (reorder, as required); meet with vendors and purchasing department. Schedule and perform periodic inspections of assigned electrical equipment, looking for defects, and proactive upgrading of equipment.
Required to have a High School Diploma or GED, and preferably a Technical Certificate. The candidate will have 5+ years of work-related experience in machine maintenance for a manufacturing environment.
**What You'll Bring:**
+ Ability to operate a Forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, or other heavy duty equipment.
+ Ability to use power tools, drills, grinders, perforators, machining tools and instruments.
+ Ability to work at various heights with usage of ladders, scissor lift and or other forms of assistance for heights.
+ Assure general maintenance work is completed as assigned.
