Industrial IoT Business Analyst - Manufacturing Integration and Enterprise IoT Platform Implementation [REMOTE]
**Job Description** BAE Systems is searching for an Industrial IoT Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in shaping our IoT manufacturing strategy across the enterprise. This key position will leverage cutting-edge IoT and AI technologies to network and integrate advanced manufacturing equipment and applications to our ERP systems to ensure data-driven insights, seamless connectivity, and production efficiencies are realized by our manufacturing customers. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial automation, IoT technologies and manufacturing operations. This role requires a unique blend of technical, business, analytical and interpersonal skills to drive the integration of industrial equipment and devices with our enterprise systems. + Business Analysis Responsibilities: + Act as a face of IT to the customer and the face of the customer to the development teams and to IT management. + Gather requirements from multiple stakeholders, analyze against available capabilities, perform gap analysis and translate into technical specifications for solution design. + Present alternatives for requirements and solution design and suggest improvements in business processes. + Work with development team to ensure desired deliverables meet expectations. Assist in solution development and bug troubleshooting. + Translate documented requirements into test scenarios and test scripts. Conduct first-level unit testing and support end-user testing. + Provide estimates on the impact and cost of the requested change. + Project coordination of medium sized projects. + Provide operational support, troubleshoot defects, and resolve issues using various tools including internal documentation. + IoT Platform Responsibilities: + Serve as the primary Business Analyst responsible for the implementation of an Enterprise IoT platform to collect, process, and analyze data from connected devices and machines + Collaborate with internal teams to assist in defining and developing IoT data models, data governance, and data quality frameworks. + Integrate industrial IoT data with existing enterprise systems, such as ERP, MES, and analytics platforms. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + **Bachelor's degree in a technical field(e.g. Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc)** + **6 years of experience in industrial automation, manufacturing operations, or a related field, with a focus on IoT, Industry 4.0, or application or device integration** Technical Skills:. + Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus) + Familiarity with application communication protocols (e.g., REST API, XML, etc) + Familiarity with IoT platforms (e.g., PTC Thingworx, Cumulosity, etc). + Experience with data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). + Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity standards and regulations + Business Analysis Skills: + Strong business analysis and requirements gathering skills. + Experience with business process modeling and improvement. + Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). + Soft Skills: + Excellent communication and collaboration skills. + Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. + Strong problem-solving and leadership skills. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Certifications: Industrial automation or IoT-related certifications (e.g., Certified Industrial Automation Engineer, IoT Engineer Certification) + Programming Skills: Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, C , Java, Java Script). + Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing industries (e.g., automotive, aerospace, electronic). **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $115779 - $196825 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
