**Job Description Summary**
The Industrial Engineering Specialist at Madisonville is part of the FLIGHT DECK organization, reporting to the FLIGHT DECK Leader. The Industrial Engineering Specialist will lead projects intended to improve one (or more) of the SQDIP metrics. In addition, the Industrial Engineering Specialist will partner with multiple functions (FLIGHT DECK, Operations, Quality, etc.) to lead and manage sitewide initiatives such as large 3P Events, Site Action Plans, and more. The Industrial Engineering Specialist will also focus on capacity models and line layouts, in addition to other FLIGHT DECK-related tasks.
**Job Description**
+ Lead lean transformations within manufacturing cells to improve process quality and create capacity by reducing cycle time, inventory, and waste.
+ Establish site standards for Action Planning, Project Management, Capacity Modelling, and other industrial engineering related activities.
+ Manage and lead 3P Activities and subsequent actions at the Madisonville site.
+ Lead Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen events to identify process wastes and to develop and implement corrective actions.
+ Create Standardized Work Instructions, layouts, and process flow diagrams.
+ Facilitate functional managers in establishing process flow by implementing visual management tools and methods to pull product through the work cells.
+ Apply Lean Six Sigma tools to improve process capability and eliminate defects.
+ Coach teams using the PSR format through the define, analyze, root cause, and countermeasure phases.
**Required Minimum Qualifications** :
+ Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university _AND_ a minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience.
+ _OR_ a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Industrial Engineering.
**Desired Characteristics and Experience** :
+ Industrial Engineering Degree Preferred.
+ Strong Excel and Mathematical Skills
+ Strong organization skills and attention to detail
+ Ability to influence without direct authority
