Lear is embarking on an exciting new chapter with the launch of its second plant and first Greenfield manufacturing facility in Bizerte, Tunisia, part of our Thermal Comfort Systems (TCS) division. This strategic investment marks a significant milestone in Lear’s growth and ongoing commitment to innovation. We are seeking dynamic, forward-thinking leaders to take on the challenge of launching and shaping this new plant from the ground up. Position Overview:

 

 

The Industrial Engineering Manager leads the optimization and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to support operational excellence, efficiency, and quality performance within an automotive environment.

 

Main Missions :

 

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of industrial/process engineers and technicians.

Foster a strong culture of continuous improvement, structured problem solving, and operational discipline.

Optimize manufacturing processes to reduce cycle time, minimize scrap, and increase production throughput.

Drive automation and digitalization initiatives in alignment with Industry 4.0 standards.

Ensure full compliance with automotive quality requirements, including IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.

Maintain, update, and standardize all process documentation and work instructions.

Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities without impacting quality, safety, or delivery.

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), to guide improvement actions.

 

To be successful for this role :

 

Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Technical Engineering, or a closely related field.

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in automotive manufacturing, including at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.

Strong expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and process optimization.

Proven experience with PFMEA, PPAP, and automotive core tools.

Analytical mindset with a structured and data driven approach to problem solving.

 

Language Skills:

 

Good communication skills in both French and English
