Job Title: Industrial Engineer I

Pay Rate: 43/hour
Schedule: First Shift – 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Position Overview
We are seeking an Industrial Engineer with specialized experience in warehouse and automation safety. The ideal candidate will provide technical safety leadership for large-scale warehouse transformation projects, racking system safety compliance, and human-machine interface hazard assessments. This role supports capital projects and cross-functional engineering efforts to ensure operational safety and regulatory compliance.
Top Required Skills and Experience 1. OSHA and Racking Safety ComplianceStrong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910, ANSI MH16.1, and NFPA fire codes
Experience applying standards to new builds, racking, and automated storage environments
2. Human Factors & Safety Risk AssessmentExperience conducting HEART (Hazard Elimination, Aspect, & Risk Transformation) or similar analyses
Skilled in identifying and mitigating risks in both manual and automated workflows
3. Automation Safety IntegrationSafety reviews for AGVs, AMRs, robotic arms, VLMs, etc.
Familiarity with interlocks, LOTO, and safety zones
4. Capital Project & Warehouse Transformation SupportSafety involvement during brownfield site transformation, insourcing, and vendor installations
Strong collaboration with project managers and engineering teams
5. Engineering or Technical BackgroundAbility to interpret warehouse layouts, structural racking plans, and equipment specifications
Focused on design-for-safety and ergonomic improvements
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field
(Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
Preferred: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent advanced safety certifications
5–7 years of experience in industrial, warehouse, or safety engineering roles
