Shaw Industries is hiring an Industrial Engineer to drive continual improvement at Plant 4 with specific consideration to the improvement of overall production processes, productivity, and cost.

Responsibilities:
Drive continuous improvement by executing facility and departmental strategy, particularly in the areas of process improvement, financial acumen, and project management through project work and data analysis
Be a leader on the floor - developing relationships, building customer satisfaction, and initiating action with plant associates at all levels to improve safety, quality, and productivity
Manage and lead multiple projects from inception to sustained implementation using tools of operational excellence (Six Sigma, TPM, LSW, time studies, RCA, 5S, etc.)
Analyze plant financial performance and provide departments with information and tools to understand their performance
Create, analyze and distribute POVA-related reports (spend, labor, off-quality, chargebacks, etc.)
Assist IE Manager in monthly forecasting, product costing, spec changes, financial reporting/analysis, etc.
Assist in the development of Plant 4’s business plans, ensuring that these goals are being met.
Collect, analyze, and make recommendations through the use of budget processes, financial reports (including POVA) and IE tools to drive improvement and cost reductions. Serve as a resource to enhance business acumen within the departments.
Work on other process improvement and cost reduction projects as assigned
Manage department reports, audits, Gemba walks, etc.
Coach and develop members of IE Team
Requirements:
4-year degree required. Industrial Engineering, or related degree preferred.
Six Sigma Black Belt or the demonstrated ability to acquire
Ability to read, analyze, manipulate, and interpret complex data sets and solve complex problems
Ability to effectively influence others and build customer satisfaction
Strong communication, facilitation, project management skills
Advanced software skills (Excel, Minitab, Google, etc).
Preferred Requirements:
2+ years of manufacturing experience
Previous IE experience preferred
Based upon the experience level of the candidate selected, the position may be filled as a Process Improvement Engineer or a Sr. Process Improvement Engineer.
