Responsibilities:

Siemens Industry is looking for an Industrial Engineer for our Grand Prairie, TX factory located in the heart of the DFW Metroplex. Our growing facility has over 700 employees that produce high-quality, engineered and make-to-order power distribution equipment. The industrial engineer's responsibilities include analyzing operations, designing workflows and production processes, reducing inefficiency, and ensuring that final products meet the established quality standards. This includes documentation and performance measurement of manufacturing processes, new product introduction, improvements to production lines, capital expenditures and cost savings measures.

You will make an impact by:

Applying lean principles to design and optimize manufacturing processes that improve safety, efficiency and quality. Performing detailed time studies to analyze production processes and identify areas for improvement. Conducting value stream mapping and leading Kaizen events to identify and eliminate waste. Developing documentation and delivering training programs on 5S, Kaizen, and other lean tools. Collecting and analyze data to support decision-making and process improvements. Identifying and implementing strategies to reduce waste in materials, time, and processes. Leading and managing projects aimed at improving manufacturing processes, developing project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensuring timely completion.

Basic Qualifications:

B.S. or greater in Industrial Engineering or related field 4-7 years’ experience as an Industrial Engineer completing relevant projects to improve safety, quality, delivery reliability and cost in a manufacturing environment Knowledge and experience applying lean manufacturing techniques Proficiency in data collection and analysis Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a Manufacturing environment as an Industrial Engineer Experience simulating manufacturing systems and processes Experience with SAP or similar MRP system AutoCAD or similar 6 Sigma certification

The pay range for this position is $80,920.00 - $138,720.00 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
