Job Title: Industrial EngineerJob Description The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for analyzing the operating environment and identifying process inefficiencies and wastes of time, money, materials, and energy. The role involves conducting time and motion studies, conceptualizing improvements, and assisting in developing business cases for updates and changes. This position is ideal for engineers looking to advance into leadership roles or seeking greater responsibility, as it requires working independently and offers exposure to various manufacturing processes such as assembly, machining, and welding. Responsibilities + Develop labor standards by analyzing work samples and methods while measuring work performance. + Improve labor utilization by studying work methods, testing modifications, designing new methods, and recommending job restructuring. + Improve workflow by studying process flow charts, recommending modifications in workflow, workstations, and product, developing new procedures, and recommending equipment modifications and purchases. + Reduce waste by studying methods, equipment, and operator techniques; recommending changes; identifying and analyzing waste. + Implement work improvement programs by collaborating closely with management and engineering staff. + Prepare work-analysis information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. + Complete work improvement projects by training and guiding operators and supervisors. + Maintain operations guidelines by writing and updating policies, procedures, and methods. Essential Skills + Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering Degree + Industrial Engineering experience related to machining + Experience conducting time studies and reducing cycle times + Lean Manufacturing experience Work Environment The position requires working 100% onsite at a facility in Dayton, OH (Springboro) on the first shift, with hours to be determined. It is a one-year contract with the potential for extension, supporting additional programs. The company is expanding, with one facility spread across two buildings, and aims to increase its workforce and revenue in the coming years. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Springboro, Ohio. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
