The Industrial Engineer is responsible for the development of engineered labor standards and implementation of the labor management system in our distribution centers. This position will identify opportunities to improve distribution efficiency and implement best practices across the distribution network while working in cross functional teams.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency across the distribution network.
Manage implementation of best practices across the distribution network.
Provide recommendations to senior management for improving utilization of labor, equipment, and utilities in the distribution centers while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Development of labor standards in the distribution centers.
Implementation of labor management systems in the distribution centers.
Provide technical support for the DCs using the labor management system.
Test and validate system changes that impact the labor management system.
Support the growth and development of the distribution network.
Provide input into the design and layout of DCs, including the specification of material handling equipment and software as needed.
Travel, up to 70%.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES
Required:This job requires a bachelor degree in industrial engineering or related field of study.
Must be willing to travel up to 70%
Desired:Experience working in a warehousing and distribution environment is preferred
Experience with implementation of labor management systems is preferred
Experience will development or support of warehouse management systems, controls systems, or system programming is preferred
