Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Industrial CDL Route Delivery Driver/Production Technician position. The Industrial CDL Route Delivery Driver/Production Technician is responsible for the loading and unloading of cylinders and freight from trucks, filling cylinders with compressed and liquefied gases safely, following all established procedures and regulations. Responsible for maintaining inventories of full cylinders to meet the requirements of our customers. Delivers and exchanges full cylinders and liquid vessels for empty ones. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Loads and unloads freight and cylinders on truckDetermine weights of cylinders and freight on orders to be loaded on each truck/trailerFill industrial, medical and food grade liquefied gases into cylinders following all establishedprocedures Fill industrial and medical grade cryogenic refrigerated liquids into appropriate containers
and vehicle mounted vesselsFollow all established procedures and keeping neat and accurate records as necessaryAccurately fills out truck manifest form and gas invoicesDelivers freight and gas cylinders to customersTake basic orders from customers when neededAdhere to all established procedures, policies and safety rulesPerforms other tasks as assigned or necessaryQualificationsClass B with Hazardous Material endorsement and excellent driving record1 year verifiable city delivery experience preferredNo at fault accidents or DOT moving violations in the past 3 yearsBasic understanding of welding machines and related toolsAbility to drive and back tractor trailer combinationAbility to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (writing invoices, picking up small cylinders, rolling large cylinders, pushing cylinder cart, hand trucks, steering truck, etc.)Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basisAbility to occasionally lift and/or carry objects weighing over 100 lbsKnowledge of hauling hazardous materialExcellent customer service skillsGood organizational skillsBe flexible to do other duties as assigned or as neededAdditional Information
