Role Summary:
As an Industrial Capital Project Manager, you will lead and manage capital projects from inception to completion. In this role, you'll coordinate with various stakeholders, manage budgets, schedules, and resources, and ensure that all project objectives are met. We're seeking someone with a strong background in industrial engineering and project management who has successfully delivered large-scale projects.
What You’ll Do:
Project Planning and Initiation:Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholdersDevelop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategiesConduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to support project proposals
Project Execution:Lead and coordinate project teams, including engineers, contractors, and other professionalsMonitor project progress, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standardsImplement and maintain project management tools and methodologies to track progress and performance
Stakeholder Collaboration:Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and regulatory authoritiesPrepare and present project status reports, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issuesFacilitate stakeholder meetings and ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables
Budget and Resource Management:Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and efficient resource utilizationNegotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to secure necessary resources and servicesMonitor and approve expenditures, ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures, and schedule adherenceAdminister change management principles in alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs) established for the project
Risk Management and Compliance:Identify and assess potential project risks and develop mitigation strategiesEnsure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocolsConduct regular audits and inspections to ensure project adherence to quality and safety standards
Project Closure and Evaluation:Oversee project completion, ensuring all deliverables are met and final inspections are conductedConduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvementPrepare final project reports and documentation for review and approval
Required Qualifications:A bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Agricultural, Industrial, Civil, or Construction Engineering, OR equivalent industry experience demonstrating the necessary technical knowledgeA demonstrated track record of successfully managing large-scale industrial capital projects with measurable outcomes in budget management, timeline adherence, and stakeholder satisfactionStrong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practicesExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing prioritiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of industry-specific regulations and safety standardsAbility to work collaboratively with various Engineering, EPC, and General Contractor companies executing under different contractual methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or willingness to obtain certification
Working Conditions:
This role may require travel to project sites and flexible hours to meet project deadlines. You may work in office settings as well as on-site in industrial environments, which may involve exposure to various physical conditions and hazards.
